About Me
Matt Lundquist
A Columbia University-trained psychotherapist with more than a decade of clinical experience, I’ve come to believe that what it means to help people in therapy is to help them create their lives and I relish in this challenging, playful activity.
My development as a therapist has been deeply influenced by the study of philosophy and the practice of the creative arts. I believe that being philosophical and using the tools of the creative arts engages head-on the question of what it takes to live a fulfilling, vibrant life in a complex world.
After five years of working in educational and therapeutic settings in Chicago and New York, I joined the Social Therapy Group as a Staff Therapist in June 2006 and was named Director of the Manhattan center in February 2007.
In February 2009, TriBeCa Therapy emerged from my commitment to developing an independent therapy center with integrity, engaging issues of emotional growth.
